Lansdowne Theater Façade To Be Restored

Contract Awarded, Work begins this spring

Using funding awarded by Delaware County Council and the Delaware County Office of Community and Housing Development, The Presser Foundation, Connelly Foundation and individual donors, the masonry on the theater’s main façade, from the second floor up will be restored this spring and summer. Work to be completed includes cleaning the façade, repointing the cast stone, removing concrete patches and replacing them with stucco, painting the stucco, recasting and installing missing architectural details, and repainting metal railings.

The contractor for the project is Materials Conservation. Atkin Olshin Schade Architects is providing construction oversight. The contractor will need to use a lift to access the façade. Please be aware that the sidewalk access may be limited during work.

During the restoration Regency Café and Vinyl Revival will remain accessible and open. No work will take place on weekends.

These are exciting times!
